WomenCare of Baldwin Park is pleased to offer our patients the latest technology and convenience in mammography. In our effort to provide one-stop annual well woman exams, we are now offering the convenience of 3D mammography in our office for your annual breast screening.

If your annual mammogram appointment happens to fall in a different month than your well-woman exam, we will happily work to schedule you at your convenience. You only need to book your appointment with us and sign the authorization form to release prior records to us. We will handle the rest with absolutely no burden to you. What Type of Mammograms are Available?

At this time, WomenCare of Baldwin Park is scheduling screening and diagnostic mammograms with breast ultrasounds in the office.

When Are Mammograms Scheduled?

Mammograms are available Monday through Friday during normal business hours.

Who Will Perform the Mammogram?

Your mammogram will be performed by a mammographer. A Board Certified Radiologist will review the mammogram films and provide the report, including their recommendations.

Who Will Read and Interpret my Mammogram?

Abraha Taddese, M.D., Ph.D., Board Certified Radiologist

Dr. Abraha Taddese, originally from Stockton, California, attended Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts where he received his Doctor of Medicine degree and Ph. D. in Neuroscience in 2003.

Dr. Taddese is certified by the American Board of Radiology. He received his Fellowship Training in Breast Imaging at Mount Sinai Medical Center, Miami, Florida. Dr. Taddese is Clinical Assistant Professor for the Department of Radiology at the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, Florida International University, Miami, Florida.

Dr. Taddese has received many awards including the Medical Scientist Training Program Fellowship from the National Institutes of Health. He is fluent in five languages. Dr. Taddese currently provides teleradiology services through his company, AT Imaging, LLC.

How Do I Schedule?

Call the main office line at 407-898-1500 and ask to schedule an appointment for your mammogram.

How Will I Receive my Results?

Mammogram results will be posted via the Results Portal, mailed directly to you, or our staff will call to provide results or schedule a follow-up appointment if needed.

Does Insurance Cover my Mammogram?

Most insurances cover one screening mammogram per year.

How do I send Previous Mammogram Records to WomenCare of Baldwin Park?

If you have had a prior mammogram, we need the records to be able to compare prior results to the current ones.
